Stephanie Kusie has been nominated as the Conservative Party candidate in Calgary-Midnapore, a riding she has represented since 2017. She was re-elected in 2019 with 74 per cent of the vote.
She is the Official Opposition critic for Transportation.
Aidan Theroux, who ran in the 2019 federal election as the Sherwood Park-Fort Saskatchewan NDP candidate, told the Fort Saskatchewan Record that he plans to seek his party’s nomination again. Theroux placed second in 2019, earning 12 per cent of the vote, in his first bid against Conservative MP Garnett Genuis, who was elected with a landslide 73 per cent.
